10 Superfoods to Naturally Reduce Cellulite

Cut out salt and sugar:  You may wonder, if I cut out sugar and salt, then what will I eat?  Luckily, there are several substitute items out there to help.  You can use salt-free alternatives that taste absolutely delicious.  Natural sweeteners like Sugar in the Raw, which is organic and healthier.  Also, drinking water with lemon helps to elevate excess salt.  Even if you choose to not completely cut out salt and sugar, entertain the thought of drastically cutting back.

Flaxseed:  Dr. Josh Axe recommends getting flaxseed into your diet by adding it to oatmeal and cereals.  Flaxseed can control estrogen levels and surge collagen production which help reduce cellulite.  I have found that many people out there do not know what flaxseed is.  Flax is a plant that is usually turned into oil, but it can also be made into a seed that is packed full of essential vitamins and nutrients.

Avocados:  Avocados are full of essential fatty acids that will strengthen the skin and prevent cellulite.  The fatty acids also produce more elasticity which helps with prevention.  You can incorporate avocados in your salads, tacos, and snacks.

Fish:  It is important to up the omega-3 fatty acids because they reduce inflammation, strengthen the skin, and boost the cardiovascular system.  If you are not a fan of fish, then invest in a fish oil supplement.  It is recommended to eat fish at least twice a week.

Spinach and Kale:  Both are rich in antioxidants called lutein.  Lutein helps retain skin moisture and elasticity.  It also helps with detoxification of the body.  Both greens are great to mix in a salad, sandwich, or rice dish.

Bananas:  This beautiful yellow fruit helps in reducing water retention and circulates fluid in a healthy manner.  The potassium in the bananas helps with the water reduction and helps with circulation of the blood flow.  Bananas are great for a snack, in cereal, or mixed in a smoothie.

Whole grains:  Whole grains are found mostly in pasta, brown rice, and breads.  They help with detoxification of the body and helps boost circulation.  Through the body detox it helps rid the body of useless toxins that can create cellulite.  Some great meals to incorporate whole grains in are casserole dishes, oatmeal, and cereals.

Oranges:  Oranges are packed with Vitamin C and also contain methylated bioflavonoids.  This citric fruit also improves circulation and corrects cell imbalance.   You can eat oranges as a snack or mixed in with a smoothie or salad.

Asparagus:  Asparagus is locked in with a multitude of goodness. This tasty veggie is low calorie, an anti-inflammatory, reduces bloating, detoxes body, and stimulates blood circulation.  Asparagus is high in folic acid which helps reduce stress.  If you are not a veggie fan, I have a friend who gets her husband to eat asparagus by wrapping it up in bacon.

Berries:  What’s so great about berries is that there are so many to choose from such as strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, and even raspberries.  Berries help get rid of toxins because they are so high in antioxidants.  The high content of Vitamin C helps with the formation of collagen in the skin.  They are so easy to add to any meal such as oatmeal, cobblers, cereals, and yogurt.
